The state’s first Student Tally Week was held on November 1 to 3, with over 40 schools participating.  Student Tally Week gives schools a count of how students travel to and from school.  It also provides state-wide trends, which is one way to measure the success of SRTS program.  This is the first time travel mode inforamtion has been collected by this many schools during the same week.  Since the beginning of Nvomeber, other schools have participated.

Schools used the Student Travel Tally form provided by the National Center for SRTS, which is an in-classroom “show of hands” method.

We’ll share the results of the tallies in early 2012. Thank you to all who made the first Student Tally Week such a success.
